Awareness about India@75 celebrations through painting competition and Tourism Promotion Event (March 12-21, 2021)

Awareness about India@75 celebrations through a painting competition was organized among six schools of six cities (12-14 March 2021). i) Tourism Promotion Event highlighting India as "Place to Go" as part of India@75; and lecture session on "New India and its offerings to the world" where Ambassador and four other Croatian Speakers interacted with about 100 diplomats and beuraucrats of Croatia (15-21 March 2021).

Virtual Croatian-Indian Business Forum, Online lecture on Ramayana, webinar on medicinal plants and Yoga workshop organised during Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations by EoI, Zagreb (April 2021)

1. A virtual Croatian-Indian Business Forum was held on 13 April 2021 co-organized by the Embassy of India, Zagreb, FICCI, Croatian Chambers of Commerce and the Indian-Croatian Business Club. Croatian Business society joined the session to explore #NewIndia and new emerging opportunities. 2. An online Yoga Session “Importance of Ancient Wisdom of Yoga in present time” was organized on 15th April with Yogacharya Jadranko Miklec, Ambassador Raj Kumar Srivastava and Dr. Gharote, Director of the Lonavla Yoga Institute. Prevention, promotion and cure will increase the mental and physical condition of people. Emotional, social and spiritual aspects of human existence were also highlighted to be important in equal measures. 3. An online lecture on Ramayana and its significance in human life was organized on Ram Navami on 21st April with the participation of distinguished speakers Prof. Yamini Gautam, Prof. Girishwar Misra, Prof. Mislav Jezic, Ph.D. Boris Marjanovic and Ambassador Raj Kumar Srivastava. 4. A webinar “medicinal plants & Ayurvedic formulations as a preventive strategy for coronavirus disease” was organized for the Croatian audience on 29th April with the participation of Yogacharya Jadranko Miklec, Ambassador Raj Kumar Srivastava and Dr. Ernst Schrott, President of the German Ayurveda Association 5. The Embassy of India, Zagreb with the active cooperation of Zagreb City Administration and Zagreb Tourist Board, made preparations and plans to organize Weekly open Yoga Sessions in Bundek Park, Zagreb as part of India@75. The weekly Yoga sessions is going to start from 8th May. 6. As part of India@75 celebrations in Croatia, Yoga workshop was held on 30 April 2021 with the participation of 150 school children of the School of SPUD Zagreb. The workshop was led by Yogacharya Jandrako Miklec and graced by Ambassador Raj Kumar Srivastava.

Webinar on Economics and Global Security, Conference on India-Croatia Tech partnership, and IDY Celebrations organised during Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations by EoI, Zagreb (June 11-30, 2021)

1. The 7th International Day of Yoga was celebrated in 40 locations across Croatia. India@75 logo and T-shirts were used in these 40 events. The main event was celebrated in Bundek Park (Lake Stage), Zagreb with the attendance of guest of honour Croatian MP Mr. Veljko Kajtazi; 2. Ambassador delivered an online lecture and interacted with the students of the Doctors program “The Economics and Global Security” at the FEB, University of Zagreb on innovation, post-pandemic security concerns, trust, transparency, technology, democracy and demography and many other themes, in order to strengthen India – Croatia friendship further; 3. Ambassador had a conversation at the annual Debug Developer Conference at Algebra University Campus on India – Croatia tech partnership based on growing opportunities and linkages between the two innovation ecosystems; 4. Ambassador made a presentation at ICT (Information & Communication Technology) Society Forum on Digital Economy organised by Institute for European and Globalization Studies (IEGS), Zagreb in Josip Juraj Srossmayer University of Osijek, Faculty of Economics, on developing a synergy between robust digital innovation ecosystems in India and Croatia by giving a successful example of hefty and rising contribution of digital economy towards substantial growth in India's GDP over the past few years. During his Osijek visit, Ambassador along with Deputy Mayor of Osijek Ms. Jasenka Crnkovic, placed a floral wreath with "INDIA@75" designed on it with flowers in front of the 130 years old statue of Sakuntala, a character from Kalidas's 1500 years old epic - established here in the Park named after her in 1890 in Osijek to recognize her as the mother of the most powerful king Bharata at a time when Osijek was at peak of its strategic and economic power - marking this event as a launch for India@75 celebrations in Osijek; 5. The Embassy’s Ayush Cell’s organized fortnightly online session with main speaker Dr. Vida Demarin, President of International Institute for Brain Health and coordinated by Yogacharya Jadranco Miklec, on the topic “PsychoNeuroEndocrinoImmunology & Yoga” explaining on the importance of early detection of risk factors responsible for the deterioration of brain health and positive impact of Yoga and meditation on brain’s health by improving cognitive performance, attention and in reducing stress. Ambassador spoke on the occasion; 6. An India@75 open-air painting exhibition is being shown from 17 June to 16 July 2021 in front of National Theatre of Zagreb from 16 June to showcasing amazing work of art and heart by young talented artists of School of Applied Arts & Design in Zagreb.
