Celebrating 75 Years of India's Independence in Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras

The Embassy of India in Guatemala has been organizing a series of events in collaboration with key partners to promote India@75 campaign.

Independence Day Celebration of India and countries of Central America and Initiation of Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations organised by EoI, Guatemala City (April 18-30, 2021)

In collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Guatemala and the Embassy of India in Guatemala, concurrently accredited to El Salvador and Honduras, organized a virtual event to celebrate el 200th Anniversary of Independence of the countries of Central America and the 75th Anniversary of Independence of India on 18 April 2021. Vice Foreign Minister of Guatemala, Ambassador Ava Atzum Arévalo; Ambassador of India, Mr. B.S. Mubarak; and Ambassador of Guatemala to India, Mr. Geovanni Castillo, participated in the event as keynote speakers. Several dignitaries from Central America, participated in the celebrations and spoke during the event. Dr. Dibyajyoti Mukhopadhyay of the Indo Hispanic Language Academy organized and coordinated this event.' A virtual event was organized with the Indian community in Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras on 30 April 2021, to initiate the India@75 celebrations and a large number of members of the Indian community participated and were forthcoming to participate in a larger event which would involve Indian culture and cuisine.

Celebration of 50th Anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations India & Guatemala

India in guate & Minnistry of Foreign Affairs jointly organized a commemorative event to celebrate 50th Anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations at the premises of Foreign office in the presence of Foreign Minister Mario Bucaro, Vice Foreign Ministers, & members of diplomatic corps.
