Mission continues to organise India@75 celebration events
As part of the celebration in the run up to 75th Years of India Independence, Ambassador and officials of the Embassy participated in the ‘‘Tree plantation’’ drives by planting a tree in the premises of the Embassy. Mission also held a press conference; Ambassador highlighted India’s advancement in the field of science and technology during the last 75 years which helped India to become one of the fastest growing economies. As India celebrates 75 Year of Independence, it renews its resolve to share its experience of growth and development with the African countries. Social Media Campaign, Screening of Documentary and Educational Event organised during Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations by EoI, Malabo (April 2021)
i) In the series of events under India@75 celebration; Mission launched social media campaign on India’s progress across different sector in last 75 years. Sectors included were Agriculture, Space research, Economy and Renewable energy. ii) Mission screened documentary on the life of Dr. B. R Ambedkar. Documentary highlighted the key role played by him in making of the constitution of Independent India along with his the social reform brought by him especially for the marginalised communities. Mission also screened documentary on the life of Mahavir. Documentary highlighted the life and message of Mahavir and the role it played in embedding non-violence in the matrix of Indian culture. iii) Mission organised Essay competition on “75 years of India’s Independence”.
Media campaign on India’s freedom fighters and Documentary Screening organised during Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations by EoI, Malabo ( May 2021)
Mission launched a week long social media campaign on India’s freedom fighters. In the posts, their contributions to India’s struggle for independence were highlighted. It was widely shared on all the social media accounts of Mission. Mission screened a documentary on the life of Gurudev Rabindra Nath Tagore. It highlighted his contribution to India’s literature, art and impact of his teaching on the erstwhile leaders of India’s freedom movement. Mission also screened a documentary on the life of Gautam Buddha. It highlighted his contribution in weaving nonviolence in the cultural matrix of India and story of spread of Buddhism in much of Asia
Tree plantation , Photo Exhibition, Yoga Publicity and events organised during Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations by EoI Malabo (June 2021)

Mission also held a press conference; Ambassador highlighted India’s advancement in the field of science and technology during the last 75 years which helped India to become one of the fastest growing economies. The press was detailed about India@75 celebrations on the theme ‘’Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav’’ . 3. A photo competition on Yoga posture was organized. The social media campaign on Yoga ran for about a week.
