Tree Plantation and IDY celebrations organised during Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations by EoI, Santiago (June 05-21, 2021)
1.Planted a sapling of lemon tree at the Embassy garden to mark the World Environment Day as part of India@75 celebrations; 2. Daily free online Yoga classes by the Chilean National Yoga Federation (FENACHY), Lok Nath Yoga Academy and Savittar Yoga School were organised; 3. The Embassy live streamed a programme on its social media platform which focused on Yoga and meditation techniques to build immunity and to manage stress; Embassy officials and their family members practiced Yoga asanas of the Common Yoga Protocol in the Chancery; Department of Sports, Recreation and Healthy Living of the Municipality of Providencia live streamed a programme on yoga asanas.
Promotion of Khadi Products (15 August 2021)
A booth displaying Khadi products received from Khadi & Village Industries Commission, and a photo exhibition of Incredible India was set up, which was appreciated by the Indian community present at the ceremony.

Celebrations of India's 75th Independence: Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav
On the occasion of the 75th Independence Day, the Flag Hoisting ceremony was organised on 15 August 2021 at Embassy premises at 1000 hours. Amb. S. Bhattacharjee unfurled the national flag & read out the President’s Address to the Nation. Videos on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav: Celebrating 75 Years of India’s Independence, in-house video clip of XP Division highlighting the concept of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, ICCR Gala Performance and the launch of Global Painting and Poster was screened. Light refreshments were served. Members of the Indian Community, Friends of India and the families of Embassy’s staff participated enthusiastically.
