Workshop for medical professionals during Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations organised by HCI Dar-es-Salaam (March 2021)

(I). As part of ongoing India @ 75 celebrations, the High Commission of India organised Workshops (17-20th March, 2021) for Tanzanian medical professionals at the Muhimbili National Hospital and the Aga Khan Hospital in Dar es Salaam. The workshop that covered various topics under Airway Management was conducted by Dr. (Ms.) Jyotsna Punj and Dr. Ravinder Kumar Pandey, Professors in the Department of Anesthesiology, Pain Medicine & Critical Care of AIIMS. (ii) A 3-weeks long Dance Theatre Workshop (15th March to 2nd April) is being organized for Tanzanian youth at Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (SVCC) in Dar es Salaam.

Audio-Visual presentation and ''Akhand kavyaayan'' organised during Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations by HCI, Dar-es-Salaam(April 18-25, 2021)

1. ''Akhand kavyaayan'' was organised by Antarashtriya Kavyapremi Manch, Tanzania (18-19 April 2021). The 24 hrs non stop program which was conducted virtually saw participation by 157 poets from 15 different countries. The participants recited their poetry on great Indian poets and their literary works. 2. A special Audio-Visual presentation on India’s one of the greatest scientific achievement ‘Mangalyaan’ was organised for Tanzanian students at Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre in Dar es Salaam (25 April 2021).

Study in India event and Social Media Campaigns organised during Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations by CGI, Zanzibar ( May 2021)

INDIA@75 - Study in India event (May 12, 2021)- In association with the CARIVISION Career Consultancy (Tanzania), at an event to launch the 'Overseas Education Loan' facility by People's Bank of Zanzibar, CG@Zanzibar addressed a gathering of about 100 university students and informed them of India's vast educational infrastructure that has, today, become a popular hub of education, creation and innovation, in a liberal democratic environment. Ambassador (Mrs.) Amina Salum Ali, former Minister of Trade in Zanzibar also addressed the gathering, besides other senior officials. 2. FB Campaign - (May 1-9) National Identity Elements/Symbols (India Week). 3. FB campaign (May 10-20) World Heritage Properties - Indian Monuments Week.

International Yoga Day celebrations organised during Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations by HCI, Dar-es-Salaam (June 20-21, 2021)

1. Yoga Quiz programme at the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (SVCC) in Dar es Salaam was organized. 13 teams participated in the event. Certificates and cash prizes were issued to the winners; 2. On the occasion of 7th International Day of Yoga, 13 yoga programmes were organised across Tanzania in 9 different cities; 3. Indian School, Dar es Salaam celebrated International Day of Yoga at school premises. Students and teachers demonstrated Common Yoga Protocol under the guidance of Yoga teacher Dr. Sarala Kotian. 4. SVCC Dar es Salaam recorded exclusive videos of 4 Tanzanian actors on their experience on Yoga and circulated the videos through its social media account.

IDY celebrations organised during Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations by CGI, Zanzibar (June 16-21, 2021)

1. The Post participated in a 3-days grand event organised by a local NGO "Zanzibar Children Gathering-2021" to mark the "International Day of African Child". The Post mounted an exhibition at the venue, The Old Fort (a heritage site), to introduce 'Yoga and Ayurveda' to local people including children, students and their parents. The event was inaugurated by the Zanzibar Minister of Education and Vocational Training-Hon'ble Mr. Simai Mohammed Said. The Minister, while introducing CG to local people, thanked the Post for its contribution to the event. The event had a footfall of about 300-400 persons daily. 2. 7th International Day of Yoga was celebrated as a small event, with a local Yoga instructor and her students, under the theme "Yoga for Wellness" at the Chancery premises. Due to covid-19 restrictions only 35 people attended the program. Banners on India@75, Yoga and Ayurveda were displayed during both events. Article penned by the Consul General titled "Yoga-for Body and Mind" was published in local daily "Zanzibar Leo" (a Govt. news agency) and also local TV channel (RVS TV) covered the event.
