Documentary Screening; Rabindra Jayanti Celebration and event on Indian Art and Philosophy organised during Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations by EoI, Bangkok ( May 2021)

1. To celebrate the birth centenary of Satyajit Ray, 11 documentaries provided by Films Division were presented online from 7-9 May 2021. 2. On the occasion of Rabindra Jayanti, a programme titled ‘Celebrating Tagore – Life, Works and Friendship with Thailand was organised by SVC Bangkok on Sunday, 9 May 2021 with a talk on Rabindranath Tagore by Asst. Prof. Dr. Jirayudh Sinthuphan, Director of South Asian Studies Centre, Centre for Asian Studies, Chulalongkorn University which was followed by a musical tribute by the Bengali Association of Thailand. Ad campaign promoting Incredible India with slides on Buddist Trail at three BTS Skytrain metro stations started from 15 April 2021. This campaign will run for a month. 3. “World Culture Day” celebrations were held at SVCC Bangkok on Friday 21 May 2021 with a webinar where talks were delivered by Dr. Chedha Tingsanchali, Asst Professor of Art History, Silpakorn University, Bangkok on ‘Art & Architecture – Similarities between India and Thailand’ and Mr. Vijay Kumar, Co-founder, India Pride Project and on ‘Introduction to Chola Bronzes’ followed by Veena recital by Ms. Parineeta Tangirala. 4. “International Vesak Day” celebrations on held on Wednesday, 26 May 2021 with a webinar on “Perspectives on Buddhism”
