Virtual event on Shaheed Diwas at the launch of India@75 celebrations (March 23, 2021)
An online event on the occasion of Shaheed Diwas to launch India@75 celebrations was organised in collaboration with Private International English School (or Bharatiya Vidya Bhavans School), Abu Dhabi. The event was live-streamed on social medial platforms of the Embassy and Dubai Consulate.
Blood Donation Camp and Yoga & Ayurveda Workshops organised during Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations by EoI, Luanda (April 2021)
i) Blood Donation Camp (12 April 2021). ii) Organised an awareness camp and workshops on Ayurveda and Yoga for blue collar workers on 30 April 2021 on the occasion of Ayushman Bharat Divas.
Online Inter-School Quiz and Essay writing competition organised during Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations by CGI, Dubai (May 2021)
1. To celebrate India@75 an online Inter-School Quiz competition on "India's Freedom Struggle" was held in which 35 schools from Dubai and northern emirates participated. After the preliminary rounds, semi-final and Final round was held on May 18, 2021. The Prize ceremony for three winning teams was held on May 20, 2021 in the Consulate auditorium following Covid-19 protocol. 2. As a part of India@75 and to commemorate the “Jayanthi of Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar”, Consulate General of India, Dubai organized an Essay writing competition in three age categories(<15, 15-30, >30). Out of 193 candidates who participated in the given age categories first three from each age category were felicitated.
IDY Celebration and launch of Little Guru App organised during Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations by EoI, Abu Dhabi (June 19-22, 2021)
1.7th International Day of Yoga was celebrated by the Embassy by organizing a hybrid event in Abu Dhabi. Ambassador in his remarks highlighted the benefits of Ayurveda and Yoga for mental and physical health especially during the pandemic and have made India proud especially as we celebrate 75 years of India's independence or India@75. A small kit consisting of 3 Ayurvedic medicines was also gifted to all the guests; 2. Little Guru app was launched by Ambassador during an online event organized in collaboration with Private International English School Abu Dhabi and Samskrita Bharati. In his remarks on the occassion, Ambassador highlighted the support provided by the Embassy to Samskrita Bharati for promotion of Sanskrit language in UAE.
