India@75 Celebrations in Singapore kickstarted with launching of Indian Film Festival-2021. The short video on Vaccine Maitri produced by MEA was featured on the Opening Night of the Film Festival. Month long social media campaign with #Women in India and #NariShakti on Indian women's achievers, their contributions to various aspects of life and freedom movement in India carried out through Mission's social handles facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Quiz Contest on Indian History and Freedom Struggle organised during Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations by HCI, Singapore (April 2021)
i) Mission organised a Quiz Contest in Singapore Indian International schools for children at appropriate class levels on the topic "India's freedom movement" during third week of April 2021. Besides, videos shown to the School children, talks organised, video links and content links were also shared with the students by the respective schools on India's freedom movement. Mission has also shared some of the images of schools participation on the social media handles.

Formal curtain raiser event for launch of AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV- 11 May 2021
Due to local restrictions on number of people to be allowed in a gathering, a combined hybrid model launch of India@75 was held on 11th May, 2021 in partnership with Global Indian International School (GIIS) Campus, Singapore. After welcoming the invited guests at the event, High Commissioner delivered his keynote address on the occasion. 1. Pre-recorded cultural performances from SIFAS, Singapore, Chitrakala Arts, Singapore and patriotic songs by prominent artists from Singapore were played during the occasion. 2. The 'Little Guru' Sanskrit learning App was launched by High Commissioner during the event. 2. The 'Little Guru' Sanskrit learning App was launched by High Commissioner during the event. 3. High Commissioner presented Mr. Aniketh Roy the 1st Round winner with a gold medal congratulating him on his excellent performance in the Bharat Ko Janiye (BKJ) Quiz-2021. Seventh International Yoga Day - 14-21 June 2021
Seventh International Yoga Day was celebrated from 14-21 June, 2021. During the week: 1. Throughout the week, one Live Yoga session was telecasted on Mission social media handles. 2. On 21 June a special Yoga session for kids with disabilities was held. 3. Mission partnered with 56 Yoga studios, professional Yoga instructors and organisations to conduct 209 sessions in Singapore with participation of 22028 and a webinar was also held with a recorded message from Sadhguru. The event was covered live on Mission's social media handles. 4. Quiz Competition 'Quizana’ was held with 397 registered participants. Winners were announced by High Commissioner on 21 June 2021 during the celebration at the Mission which was telecasted Live and reached around 6000 views. 5. HCI Singapore sponsored prizes for a Yoga competition at Asian and Global level in partnership with One Wellness Yoga Centre. 6. T-shirts, masks with India@75 logo and gift packs by Medimix were distributed among Yoga enthusiasts and migrant workers. 7. Message from Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi and information about Little Guru app were shared on Mission’s social media handles. 8. As a special feature to mark the occasion for AKAM, a pre-recorded video of 75 Yoga postures/asanas by 15 Yoga professionals was telecasted on Missions' social media.
Gifting of children books to National Library Board (NLB) Singapore - 8 July 2021
Mission gifted 110 children books for a specially created India Section proposed at National Library Board of Singapore. These books were gifted to NLB with stickers of India@75.
Online course on Gandhian Philosophy - 30 July 2021
A special presentation ceremony was organised to felicitate three participants in the online classes on Gandhian Philosophy conducted by Smt. Shobhana Radhakrishna. High Commissioner presented participation certificated. This was shared on the Mission's media handles.

Annual India-Singapore bilateral naval exercise (2-4 September 2021)
The Indian Navy participated in the 28th edition of Singapore-India Maritime Bilateral Exercise (SIMBEX) with the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) from 02 to 04 Sep 21. Owing to the ongoing pandemic-related constraints, this year's SIMBEX was planned virtually without any physical interactions as an 'at-sea only' exercise hosted by the RSN in the southern fringes of the South China Sea. The Indian Navy was represented by Guided Missile Destroyer INS Ranvijay with a shipborne helicopter, ASW Corvette INS Kiltan, Guided Missile Corvette INS Kora and one P8I Long Range Maritime Patrol Aircraft. Participants from the RSN included one Formidable Class Frigate, RSS Steadfast, embarked with an S-70B naval helicopter, one Victory Class Missile Corvette, RSS Vigour, one Archer Class Submarine and one Fokker-50 Maritime Patrol Aircraft. Four F-16 fighter aircraft of the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) also participated in the exercise during the Air Defence Drills.
Indian performing arts convention (IPAC) -book webinar: SESSION-1 (10 September 2021)
Ms. Lakshmi Viswanathan, a renowned Bharatanatyam dancer, research scholar, and writer on dance heritage & culture of India, delivered a lecture about the devadasi tradition, transformation into a living cultural phenomenon, and devadasi reform movement in a political, religious, and social context. The program was followed by a Q&A session with the audience. The High Commissioner of India spoke at the virtual event. The program included stimulating lectures by Swami Samachittananda, Shri. Anuraag Saxena, Shri. Mukul Kanitkar and other speakers from the Indian community.

Hindi Divas (14 September 2021)
The event was organised in partnership with Sangam Singapore and World Hindi Secretariat. High Commissioner addressed the participants and congratulated them on their initiative and interest in learning and practising Hindi. During the event, a pre-recorded congratulatory message by EAM Dr S. Jaishankar was also played. The event included active participation by young Hindi enthusiasts from the Indian community, Indian school students and from the High Commission of India in Singapore.
Celebration of 'Hindi Saptah' (11-17 September 2021)
Hindi week was organised to increase awareness, promote love for the language and develop camaraderie among Hindi speakers. The celebrations were viewed globally by more than a thousand viewers in singapore, India, China, South Korea, Japan and Fiji. About 80 students from Singapore schools took part in various competitions such as poetry recitation, storytelling, essay writing and oration among others.
Showcasing of a recycled horse modern art sculpture at the Chancery premises (14 September 2021)
HCI Singapore helped showcase an artist’s imagination, inspired by the concept of recycling and sustainability, a modern recycled horse sculpture, made from recycled parts of automobiles, by displaying it in the HCI Singapore lawns. The art sculpture was created by Gnani Arts Singapore.
BEST CUP OF INDIA - event for promotion of Indian coffee (17 September 2021)
The High Commission, in collaboration with Coffee Board of India, partnered with Singapore Coffee Association, Singapore Business Federation and Enterprise Singapore to organise a coffee tasting event for Indian coffee varieties. After a lot of uncertainty, the event finally had to be conducted virtually, with roasted coffee samples sent to the buyers for remote tasting along with mugs and coasters with AKAM logo, due to the covid-related restrictions in force in Singapore.

Festival of short films (Timeless tales film edition 2021) - (25 September 2021)
Arclight productions Singapore showcased five films in one show – created and presented by 40 artists in Singapore & India, drawn from 13-plus nationalities, to keep up the community spirit for creating new works of art & entertaining audiences in Singapore.
Workshop on 'Bapu for Kids' (1-2 October 2021)
A workshop titled ''Bapu for kids'', to teach children about the history of the freedom struggle of India followed by live performances and presentations depicting key themes and landmark events. Around 13 kids participated at a short notice of 2 days. Stories shared from Bapu’s life and allocated one story per kid. Offline support was provided on their preparation. The event featured interesting stories from Gandhiji’s life and an impromptu quiz on Gandhiji, drawing much excitement from the children. Fb live received 300 viewers within four hours.
Special talk on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi - (2 October 2021)
The talk was organised by Apsaras Arts, Singapore. Dr V R Devika brought out another special story telling session for the occasion: ‘Spinning the yarn of liberation: the Mahatma’ on 2 October. Dr. Devika depicted how Mahatma Gandhi stood by the symbolism of charkha spinning for boosting self-reliance and self-respect among Indians during independence movement. She lucidly narrated her points by using anecdotes, stories, music, dance, visuals and box of spinning chakra.
Celebration of Gandhi Jayanti - The Power Of Truth And Non-Violence (2 October 2021)
Gopio-Singapore and Global Indian International school in collaboration with HCI, organised a virtual event to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi's teachings and celebrate the UN Day of Non-Violence and Gandhi Jayanti, featuring ICCR’s online premier of 'Yugpurush – Mahatma’s Mahatma’, an award-winning English theatrical masterpiece representing the special relationship between Mahatma Gandhi and Shrimad Rajchandra presented by Shrimad Rajchandra, Mission Dharmapur. High Commissioner, in his keynote address at the virtual event, spoke about the timeless ideals of the Mahatma Indian community leaders joined the High Commissioner in paying rich tributes to the Mahatma and Indian school children presented cultural performances during the event. the event also featured a live video talk on Mahatma Gandhi by Dr Shobhana Radhakrishna, well known Gandhian philosopher, were relayed live through Mission’s social media.

Consular Camp (30 October 2021)
As part of AKAM, High Commission of India organised a special consular camp, to cater to the increased demand from applicants for consular services. 90 applicants availed the services. The special camp had to be organised over the weekend, as the number of appointments possible during a working day were limited by social distancing measures in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Seventh ISAS Lecture (Webinar): “After the Pandemic: India’s Economic Reform and Renewal” (2 December 2021)
Institute of South Asian Studies - NUS in partnership with High Commission of India in Singapore organised a lecture titled 'After the Pandemic: India’s Economic Reform and Renewal'. Sanjeev Sanyal, Principal Economic Advisor, Government of India spoke on the Covid-19 pandemic as a difficult health and economic challenge for India and India's efforts to emerge with an economy recovering very strongly even as vaccinations have been rapidly rolled out. Importantly, India's economic policy response was very different from what most other countries tried and what most international experts advised. Using a more supply-oriented approach, Indian policy makers have attempted to prepare India for a fluid post-Covid world. This lecture shared inputs on how and why India opted for this policy strategy, and its implications.

Maitri Diwas (6 December 2021)
On the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of Establishment of Bangladesh-India Relations, the High Commission of India and High Commission of Bangladesh in Singapore jointly celebrated the ‘Maitri Diwas’ with the support of Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society (SIFAS) and Singapore Bangladesh Society (SBS). The event was celebrated in a hybrid mode. Official speeches from both the country High Commissioners and video messages were followed by cultural performances from both the sides. Invitees at the venue from both the High Commissions were from the prominent diaspora of Singapore.
Pravasi Bhartiya Divas celebrations held in Singapore (9 January 2022)
The diaspora community members from Singapore on the occasion of the PBD-2022 celebrations participated in an event ‘Bharat Darshan’ organized virtually by Sangam Singapore in collaboration with Indian High Commission Singapore. They shared their thoughts and experiences through prose or verse. The members expressed interesting views. Most members were of the view that though initially, it was not easy for them to settle in a new country, after staying for some time, the same new country started to feel like their own. Many interesting things in the process of settling down happen. Some of them were quite memorable.
World Hindi Day celebrations held in Singapore (10 January 2022)
World Hindi Day of 2022 on 10th January was something special with Hindi lovers from Singapore and other countries celebrating world Hindi day with full classical songs and music by virtually connecting Hindi departments and professors of universities from many countries. Academics from various countries including Singapore, Australia, Sweden, the UK, Uzbekistan, and Fiji joined the celebrations. The Chief Guest of the program was Shri Shivaji Tiwari, Head of Chancery, High Commission of India, Singapore. Shri Tiwari first read out the message given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of World Hindi day-2022. thereafter, he talked about various things on the topic 'the present form and possibilities of Hindi'. special guest of speakers was Australian national university. Peter Friedlander, a prof from Uppsala University, Sweden. Hines Werner Wessler, Dr. Richard Delsey from Harvard University, Prof. Tashkent state university of oriental studies. Ulfat Muhiboba and Manisha Ramrakha from the university of Fiji also delivered their respective speeches in Hindi. Professors of foreign universities told that a good number of people who speak Hindi have started increasing phenomenally in various countries. if this continues, Hindi can soon have the title of the language of the United Nations. Besides, several cultural programs were also presented by Singapore students on the occasion. A vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Sandhya Singh.
Youth Day celebrations organized in Singapore (12 January 2022)
Marking Youth Day as a commemorative day of Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary, on 12th January 2022, Mission in association with Ramakrishna Mission in Singapore organized a virtual and partially physical celebratory event called 'A Musical Tribute’ on the day between 19:45 to 20:45 hrs Singapore time.

As part of the Pongal celebrations, Acting High Commissioner of India to Singapore inaugurated the Kolam (Rangoli) competition for the Indian migrant workers organised by Lisha Singapore. Acting high commissioner also visited the art gallery at Tekka place rooftop pavilion. The art pieces were made by students from NPS international school, Singapore. Seminar commemorating 125th birth Anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in Singapore (14 January 2022)
High Commission of India in Singapore commemorated the 125th birth Anniversary of Netaji with a Seminar on his life and his connection with Singapore. The seminar had prominent speakers like Ambassador Kesavapany (Retired); Mrs. Meira Chand, Author; Dr. Rajesh Rai, Author, Head of the SASP, NUS; Mr. Asad-ul Latif, Writer; Ms. Nilanjana Sengupta, Author & Community Historian.On the occasion of the 125th Birth Anniversary of Netaji, the High Commission of India also conducted an Inter-school painting competition on the theme of 'Netaji as Freedom Fighter". Acting High Commissioner Siddhartha Nath felicitated the winners at the end of the Seminar conducted by HCI.
73rd Republic Day celebrations in Singapore (26th January 2022)
A flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Chancery premises at 9.00 am on 26.1.2022 to celebrate India's 73rd Republic Day in a hybrid way due to local pandemic conditions. Shri Siddhartha Nath, Acting High Commissioner unfurled the national tricolor and read out the message of the Rashtrapatiji delivered on the eve of the Republic Day. Children from six Indian international schools in Singapore presented colorful patriotic and cultural performances(prerecorded) which consisted of dance and songs to mark the occasion. They were relayed on social media handles of the mission. Indian nationals, PIOs, and friends of India were invited to log on to the Mission's social media handles to view them virtually.
Nirmanika- Splendor of Indian temples (25th February 2022)
High Commission of India organized a program called Nirmanika- a production by Apsaras Arts Dance Company bringing the splendor of Indian temples. Bharatnatyam brought to life the variable aspects of Indian temples through the interplay of lights and shadows. Nirmanika touches on concepts of geometry, space, structure, form, philosophy, history, and more in unique and beautifully choreographed dance pieces. Using the compositions by one of Carnatic Music’s Trinity, Muthuswami Dikshitar (1775-1835), Aravinth Kumarasamy has created a moving and inventive musical score along with the choreography for this production. Featuring fourteen dancers, this production also features choreography by Anjana Anand and Mohanapriyan Thavarajah.

AKAM Quiz (28 February 2022)
On the occasion of India @75, Government of India organised “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” online Quiz for the overseas Indian/Foreign youth (PIOs, NRIs & Foreign Nationals between the age of 16 and 35 years as on 1 January 2022 (Born on or after 1 January 1987 and on or before 31 December 2005). Three participants from Singapore are part of the winning participants list.
Mural Art Project (March 2022)
High Commission of India has collaborated with Gnani Arts Singapore to create a mural of 75 small paintings on canvas to celebrate India@75. The mural is scheduled to be launched in March 2022.
Tapestry - Festival of Sacred Music - (25-27 March 2022)
High Commission of India will be partnering with Esplande Co Ltd in the upcoming popular festival, “Tapestry - Festival of Sacred Music” The festival exposes audiences to the wide range of sounds from spiritual traditions around the world and in Singapore. The performing artists, Sawan Kumar and the troop will be coming from Rajasthan, India. As part of the publicity, AKAM logos and video will be played and displayed at the prominent places of the venue.
