Tree Plantation drive and Social Event during India@75 celebration in Doha (March 26, 2021)
India@75 celebration kickstarted with an inaugural event which was held virtually and broadcasted live on Embassy's Facebook and Youtube handles. India@75 as a curtain raiser, a tree plantation drive was initiated at the Indian Cultural Centre premises. A minimum of planting 75 saplings in and around Doha have been committed to mark the occasion. On this occasion, life insurance to 75 economically distressed Indians sponsored by the community organisations was handed over.

8 October 2021: Qatar Indian Social Forum, in cooperation with Naseem Medical Center, organized a free Mega Medical Camp at Naseem Medical Center on 8th October 2021 mainly focussing on Indian expat drivers and workers. The event was held as part of #AzadikaAmritMahotsav. More than 800 expat workers underwent detailed health checkups and received free medicines, if needed. Due to heavy pre-registration, another 800 were invited with coupons to have free checkups on any subsequent dates. ICBF Medical Camp for Indian Workers in association with Allevia Medical Centre & WellCare Pharmacy was held on 15th October 2021 as part of #Azadikaamritmahotsav Health checkup covered blood sugar, blood pressure, BMI, Vision test and Doctors Consultation. Lipid profile, ECG and Dental checks were done as per Doctors advice. Free medicines were also provided.

Students from Indian schools enthusiastically participated in Children’s Day celebrations held by Embassy of India Doha at Indian Cultural Centre Doha. Ambassador was joined by Capt Khamis Sultan Al Muraikhi from Ministry of Interior and other senior community representatives in cheering the children who presented colorful medley of patriotic songs and dances.

15 November 2021:On the occasion of Janjatiya Gaurav Divas on 15th November, to mark the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, a great patriot and a martyr, an event was held in the Embassy. Ambassador briefed, with a presentation, participating Heads of Apex bodies and Indian community representatives about the initiatives taken by the Government of India for empowerment and progress of tribal communities. The short film on the life of Bhagwan Birsa Munda made by Doordarshan was screened during the occasion. On the occasion of Jan Jatiya Gaurav Diwas, #tribesindia Aatmanirbhar Bharat Corner showcasing handmade products made by Indians from the tribal regions of India was inaugurated in the Embassy.

26 November 2021:43rd ICBF Medical Camp for Indian Workers in association with Focus Medical Centre and NIARC (Nest International Academy & Research Centre).Indian Cultural Centre Advisory Board Chairman Mr. K.S. Prasad inaugurated the camp in the presence of Mr. K.P. Ashraf, Global Chairman, NIARC. The camp was beneficial to many low paid Indian workers and more medical camps like these are planned in the coming months to provide health check ups and awareness.
