In keeping with the idea of India@75 celebrations, the International Women´s Day was celebrated with events spread around entire March, 2021.
Ambedkar Jayanti celebration and Little Guru Sanskrit Learning App launch were organised during Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations by EoI, Panama (April 2021)
Embassy of India, Panama also accredited to Costa Rica and Nicaragua celebrated Ambedkar Jayanti by organising one week physical and virtual exhibition from 12-16 April, 2021 on the life history of Dr. Ambedkar. On April 30, 2021 this Mission in collaboration with University of Costa Rica has launched the Little Guru Sanskrit Learning App virtually.
Virtual photo exhibition and events on Tourism and Education Promotion organised during Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations by EoI, Panama ( May 2021)
Embassy of India Panama is also accredited to Costa Rica and Nicaragua celebrated Tourism week by organising a virtual photo exhibition for one week from 24-28 May, 2021 on the Facebook Page of the Embassy. This Mission also shared details of various educational scholarships being offered by the Government of India through ITEC, KHS, ICCR etc. to foreign students at a virtual conference with the students of University of Technology of Panama on May 27, 2021.
IDY Celebrations held in Costa Rica, Panama and Nicaragua during Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations by EoI, Panama (June 20-26, 2021)
1. At Costa Rica, the EoI Panama in collaboration with ASOYOGA and the Costa Rican Indian Association (CRIA) celebrated the IDY 2021 followed by physical as well as virtual classes in different districts as well as provinces in Costa Rica throughout the day. The celebrations ended in the evening with meditation, kirtans and classical dance of India; 2. In Panama, in collaboration with the Yoga Progressors, a week long virtual Yoga and Ayurveda festival was organised in which 16 Yoga and Ayurveda practitioners from Panama gave different yoga sessions/talks/meditation sessions; 3. In addition to this Embassy of India in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture of Panama held the main International Day of Yoga celebrations event. The programme included the demonstration of Common Yoga Protocol followed by the kirtan. These celebrations were subsequently shared on the above FB page of the Mission. For the very first time Ministry of External Relations of Panama celebrated the IDY by holding a physical event at its Headquarters. The event was attended by the Vice Minister of External Relations and Ambassador was the Guest of Honour; 4. At Nicaragua too, the EoI Panama with the assistance of the Government of Republic of Nicaragua held a physical event at the Alexis Arguello Sports Stadium in the capital Managua wherein Ambassador attended the #IDY2021 celebrations with the Chief Guest, Foreign Minister of Nicaragua HE Denis Ronaldo Moncada Colindres, Ex Honorary Consul General Mr Alejandro Lacayo. Yoga Maestro Sr. Eloy Palliviccini was also among the main persons conducting yoga from the stage. Many yoga schools, yoga teachers and their students, government employees’ alongwith senior representatives of the Government also joined to practice the Common Yoga Protocol together. Apart from this, Yoga Professors from Nicaragua also recorded their videos which were transmitted on the Yoga FB page of the Embassy.
Celebration of 74th Anniversary of India's Independence Day 2021
74th Anniversary of India's Independence Day 2021 was celebrated physically at the chancery where Ambassador hoisted the Indian flag followed by National Anthem, speech by Ambassador sharing the President's address to Indians, inauguration of Exhibition of Unsung Heros of India's Freedom Struggle, Videos shared by XP Division on Amrit Mahotsav were also played among the Indian community.
