Freedom Run during Celebrations of Amrit Mahotsav in Birganj (March 26, 2021)

India@75 Celebrations kickstarted with "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav (India@75) with a Freedom Run organised in the morning on 26.03.2021. The participants in the event were members of the Civil Society, the district administration, the doctors, journalists, NGOs and members of the Consulate.

IDY Celebrations organised during Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations by CGI, Birganj (June 14-20, 2021)

1. Competition on Yogasanas on the theme “Be at Yoga, Be at Home”. The Post received entries through mail and the participants were gifted books on yoga; 2. The Post celebrated the main event with participation of officials and family members of the Consulate. The participants joined from home through virtual platform and performed yoga. Though no guests were invited to grace the occasion in view of unprecedented situation of COVID-19, the Consulate live-streamed the event through its Face book Account. Local eminent personalities were sensitized to practice IDY at home. A few video messages on yoga shared by the eminent personalities viz. Chief Minister, Minister of Social Development, Chief Attorney of Province-2 and President of Bharat Nepal Sahyog Manch are recorded.

IDY 2021 celebrations and , Indian Army’s expedition to Mount Everest/ Sagarmatha organised during Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations by EoI, Kathmandu (June 21, 2021)

1. Embassy of India, Kathmandu together with SVCC-Kathmandu celebrated International Day of Yoga 2021 with virtual participation of Yoga enthusiasts under theme #BeWithYogaBeAtHome #घरघरमायोग. 2. A special program on Common Yoga protocol was aired on Nepal Television & on Sagarmatha Television. Similarly, the 3rd episode of #India@75 Podcast series as part of one year long celebration of 75 years of India’s independence was aired across 10 FM Stations throughout Nepal that carried conversation with famed Indian Yogacharya Sunil Maan Ji. In addition to this, a LIVE Yoga Demonstration by Yoga Guru Shri Loknath Khanal from Nepal was broadcasted by Face book handles of the Mission as well as SVCC-Kathmandu. 3. SVCC also organized a National Level Essay competition as well as Yoga Video competition inviting 100s of participation from all 7 provinces of Nepal; 4. Indian Army team led by Col. Thapa flew the tricolor atop Mt Everest/Sagarmatha. Their indomitable spirit will inspire our region to fight the pandemic with courage & resilience and emerge on the winning side. Nepal Mountaineering Association accorded a traditional welcome to the Indian Army team that successfully summitted Mt Everest/Sagarmatha.
