Photo Exhibition, Cultural event and Launch of India-Kyrgyz Year of Cultural Exchange 2021 organised during Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations by EoI, Bishkek (March 2021)

i) Photo Exhibition ‘The Arts and Living of India’- on the cultural and civilizational mores of India (25-31 March, 2021). ii) Cultural performances. iii) Launch of India-Kyrgyz Year of Cultural Exchange 2021.

Indian arts and textiles Exhibitionorganised during Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations byEoI, Bishkek (April , 2021)

1. "India in Kyrgyz Republic An Exhibition of Arts and Living", held in concert with Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, Bishkek, concluded on 01 April, 2021. The event featured a week-long exposition of Indian arts and textiles that was witnessed by a cross-section of Kyrgyz Academia, student community and society. 2) Work on creation of Mahatma Gandhi - Manas Library at Manas - Chingiz Aitmatov National Academy, Bishkek commenced on 15 April 2021. The Library will consist of English and Russian texts showcasing Indian arts, cuisine, textiles, history, geography, Buddhist heritage, epics and mythology. The Library will also host a larger digital content, consisting of e-books and resources on similar topics.

Inauguration of Library and Exhibition on “The Arts & Living of India organised during Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations by EoI, Bishkek ( May 2021)

1. Unveiling of Mahatma Gandhi-Manas Library The Mahatma Gandhi – Manas Library was officially dedicated on 12th May, 2021, in a ceremony at Manas – Chingiz Aitmatov National Academy in Bishkek. Prof. Topchubek Turgunaliev, President of the Academy and Ambassador presided over the ceremony. The dedication commemorates India@75 and India-Kyrgyz Year of Cultural Exchanges – 2021, announced during Prime Minister Modiji’s historic Kyrgyz visit in June 2019. A contribution of books on India, including great epics of Ramayana & Mahabharata, in Sanskrit & Russian, was made to Gandhi – Manas Library on the occasion. Digital connects to India’s National Digital Library, National Archives & Parliament Library of India were operationalised on the occasion to benefit Kyrgyz researchers on India. 2. Exhibition- “The Arts & Living of India” - India’s 75th anniversary commemorations commenced in Kyrgyz Republic with the unveiling of an exhibition on “The Arts & Living of India” in Bishkek in March 2021. Year 2021 is being observed as India-Kyrgyz Year of Cultural Exchanges, agreed during Prime Minister Modiji’s historic Kyrgyz visit. A photo-exhibition on “The Arts & Living in India” was jointly inaugurated at the prestigious Issyk-Kul State University on 19th May, 2021 by Ambassador and Rector, ISU. An exposition of cultural-performances by Kyrgyz students was also held on the occasion. The Exhibition showcased India’s rich-traditions in art, culture, architecture, fabrics and festivals besides modern urban landscapes.

Commemorations of 75th Independence Day at Embassy of India, Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic

India’s 75th Independence Day alongwith “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsov” were commemorated in Bishkek on 15.08.2021. The flag-hoisting ceremony at the Embassy premises, on this occasion was attended by resident Indian-community, students of Indian origin and Kyrgyz friends of India. A photo exhibition themed “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsov” was unveiled on this occasion. The Exhibition showcases India's ‘Progress in economic field and rich-traditions in art, fabrics, festivals, Yoga & Ayurveda’. Representatives from Kyrgyz Government, academia, business, cultural-circles and Indian-community participated in the event. Excerpts from Hon’ble President H.E. Shri Ram Nath Kovindji’s address to the nation were read and shared with the community.
