Cultural and Business Events during Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations by EoI, Buenos Aires (March 2021)
i) Mission in collaboration with Gungur Fine Arts organized the First Congress on Indian Classical Dance from 5-7 March. ii) Ambassador on 8 March held a meeting with ITEC Scholars in Paraguay and highlighted the role of ITEC Scholarships offered by India in strengthening bilateral ties. iii) Following this, Mission in collaboration with Gungur Fine Arts and Atma Bodha Yoga organized the First Congress of International Yoga (13-14 March, 2021) . iv) Ambassador delivered a seminar on ´India - A key to opportunities´ organized by Banco Provincia and Equilibrium Global and highlighted India´s success in coping with the pandemic while also discussing initiatives like #AtmaNirbharBharat and #VaccineMaitri. v) The Mission organized the 1st India-Argentina Business Forum on 25 March in collaboration with India-Argentina Business Council with participation of companies in Argentina and India to facilitate growth in bilateral trade and investment.

Promotion of Ayurveda and Yoga event and Launch of 'Little Guru' App organised during Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations by EoI, Buenos Aires (April 2021) i) Ambassador inaugurated XXII Course on Ayurvedic Medicine on 7 April organised by Foundation Ayurveda Prema and thanked its Director, Dr. Jorge Luis Berra for his dedication towards spread of Ayurveda in Argentina and Dr Nestor Spizzamiglio, Argentine Medical Association for participating. ii) The Mission launched 75 days of IDY Celebrations on 8 April with a recap of 2020 celebrations followed by a week long quiz contest on Yoga. Mission collaborated with Master chef celebrity, Argentina for a special episode dedicated to Indian cuisine. The episode was streamed on 14 April at channel Telefe Mission launched ICCRs sanskrit learning app - Little Guru on 21 April Ambassador inaugurated the 9th International Congress on Yoga ans Ayurveda organized by HariOm International School of Yoga on 29 April.
Tagore Jayanti Celebration; Cultural , Health and Bilateral Events organised during Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations by EoI, Buenos Aires (May 2021)
1. Ambassador met with the representatives of UIA Joven on 4 May 2021 to connect with young entrepreneurs in Argentina and to further strengthen India Argentina bilateral ties. 2. Floral Tribute was organized at the bust of Rabindranath Tagore at Jardin de las poetas, Rosedal, Buenos Aires on 7 May, 2021. The Tribute Ceremony was joined by Minister of Culture of Argentina, Mr. Tristan Bauer. 3. To mark the 160th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore on 7 May, a seminar ´Celebrando a Tagore´ was held in collaboration with foundation Hastinapura to highlight the influence of Tagore on art and life in Latin America. 4. Ambassador met with the President of Boca Juniors, the most popular football club in Argentina at the Bombonera Stadium on 13 May to explore possibilities for cooperation in the area of Sports. 5. Mission commemorated the first death anniversary of the legendary Argentine Indian Classical Dancer, Myrta Barvie with a compilation of dance and music performances by her students and associates preceded by Ambassador´s address. The same was shared across Mission´s social media platforms on 15 May 2021 6. Countdown to the International Yoga Day was launched on Social Media with Messages from celebrities in Argentina inviting participation in the Mission´s IDY2021 celebrations 7. Ambassador hosted the first exchange between FICCI Young Leaders and UIA Joven to discuss opportunities for young business leaders from both countries, thereby further strengthening B2B ties between the countries.
7th IDY Celebrations in the Mission
The 7th International Day of Yoga was celebrated in the Mission virtually through the Mission’s dedicated website www.diadelyoga.com.ar in addition to Mission´s Facebook and Youtube channel. While the culminating event was held in the chancery and streamed live across all the above platforms on 20 June 2021 from 9 AM, Yoga classes were streamed throughout the preceding week i.e from 12 June 2021 onwards until 19 June 2021.
Inauguration of YogaForPolice Project in Juan Vucetich Academy, BA Province
Ambassador Dinesh Bhatia together with Minister of Security Sergio Berni of Buenos Aires Province inaugurated #YogaForPolice, a training programme on practice of #Yoga for mental and physical well-being for members of Provincial Province with objective of providing them tools for managing stress.
