Will the Minister of External Affairs be pleased to state:

(a)the number of Indians who were registered and brought back to India under the ‘Vande Bharat Mission’ from various countries during the global COVID-19 pandemic till date, State and country-wise;

(b)whether there are still such Indians stuck in foreign countries who want to return to India;

(c) if so, the details thereof and the action being taken by the Government in this regard; and and

(d) the details of the future schemes of the Government under Vande Bharat Mission?

(a) to (d) As on 16 September 2020, the number of Indian nationals who have returned to India under the Vande Bharat Mission is 14,47,481. To know how to open PDF file refer Help section located at bottom of the site.. Most Indian nationals stuck in foreign countries have returned to India. The Vande Bharat Mission is ongoing with Phase 6 commenced on 1 September 2020. With increase in charter flights and bilateral Air Travel Bubble arrangements with select countries, frequency of flights has increased, enabling Indians to directly book tickets for travelling to India.
